becky p2024-11-06Fantastic Trip! Top Level of Care and Concern for detail We were thrilled with our Safari adventure. Catherine from Reteti was the perfect tour manager. She met us at the airport and made sure all of our questions were answered and we were safely in the hands of our driver Bernard. She followed up with us at the end of the trip to make sure all of our expectations had been met.Our driver Bernard was fantastic! He has a great sense for where the animals will be and is very skilled at getting the jeep in for best view. He knows when to wait and when to move on! In only two days we saw lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, crocodiles, topis, warthogs, antelope, monkeys, gazelles, impalas, alligators, hartbeasts, and more. One highlight was seeing a cheetah take down a thompson gazelle! We know they can't guarantee the animals, but the drivers do all work together to track the movement across the plains.We stayed at the Mtito camp and felt it was an excellent value. The service was very personal and the chef delighted us with beautifully presented four course meals each night. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The "tent camp" added to the wilderness experience of being in a tent, but it is large and has high ceilings, shower, etc. for a very pleasant stay. The camp is just 10 minutes outside the park and there are actually some advantages in cost for not staying in the park.We chose the tent camp because it came recommended to us, and was friendlier to our budget, but Kim & Catherine from Reteti can find any kind of accommodations you desire. Give them a call, they'll take good care of you!
Shyanne M2024-10-02Honeymoon with Reteti - 12 days between Kenya & Tanzania My husband and I had the incredible opportunity to spend our honeymoon with Reteti on a 12-day safari through Kenya and Tanzania. It was nothing short of a dream come true, the entire experience, from start to finish, was flawlessly organized. Catherine, our main point of contact, was a tremendous help throughout the planning process. Having done extensive research on our ideal safari, I had an good idea of what I wanted to do and the Reteti team was able to bringing our vision to life.Upon arriving in Kenya, Catherine and our driver Bernard welcomed us at the airport and took us to a local BBQ spot to enjoy a delicious meal while discussing our itinerary. Our journey through Kenya included visits to the Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli National Park. Each destination offered something unique—from sweeping plains filled with migrating wildlife to vibrant lakes where we enjoyed boat rides and nature walks, to the awe-inspiring swamps filled with herds of elephants. The itinerary couldn't have been more perfect.Our trip did hit a bump when our Nikon camera malfunctioned just a few days in. It felt like a huge setback, but Catherine and Bernard went above and beyond to save the day. They worked tirelessly to source another Nikon from the city, coordinating a complex handoff via bus, plane, and driver to get it to us in the middle of nowhere. The lengths they went to were extraordinary, and we’re forever grateful for their dedication and care.The second half of our adventure took us to Tanzania, where our new driver Ezekiel guided us through the rest of the safari. Both Bernard and Ezekiel were not only expert guides but also warm and engaging hosts, sharing fascinating insights about the animals and the local culture. They made us feel safe, comfortable, and truly special at every turn.I can't recommend the Reteti team highly enough—the drivers, the hospitality, and everyone we met along the way made this trip unforgettable. A definite 10/10, 5 stars, highly recommended! You won’t regret it.
Sukshma I2024-08-28Topnotch African safari experience! We traveled to Kenya in August 2024 to experience the wildlife of the Savanna and are glad that we chose Reteti to steer us. They gave us a great deal and made all bookings adequately. (We went on a boat safari as well as balloon safari on our trip.) The team welcomed us warmly upon arrival and kept in touch throughout the trip (very responsive) and was there to bid us adieu on our date of departure. Our safari guide was topnotch: professional, polite, punctual and informative, and above all a safe driver. Reteti made arrangements for our stay in good resorts throughout our visit in various places. We had a few hiccups (one of the resorts was overbooked, so they had to move us elsewhere, the Reteti team did their best to make the transition smooth. Our booking for the balloon safari fell through at the last minute but Reteti immediately made alternate arrangements and ensured that we didn’t miss out on this experience.) Communication with the Reteti team was a breeze.Where they could be better: The vehicle provided was not too comfortable, we saw some other vehicles with better seats, amenities and more space.Overall, we had a great time in Kenya, thanks to Reteti’s services. They ensured our safety and comfort while providing a great experience in a foreign country. We would gladly recommend them to our family and friends.
4_Iyers2024-08-18Kenya - Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Nakuru, Lake Elementeita and Masai Mara We were hoping (and anxious) our very first trip to Kenya would be memorable and uneventful and Reteti did not disappoint! While there were some snafus with our lodge booking and the hot air balloon ride, it wasn’t their fault and I always got very good support from Catherine! All in all, everything worked out exactly as planned. Our driver Joe was also super cool and very informative, engaging through out the trip.

This was our first safari and it was phenomenal. Reteti did a fantastic job taking care of us - the places we stayed were amazing and Bernard, our driver, was so good at finding animals for us! The fact that we saw as many different species as we did, and had so many sightings of the more rare predators, was in large part due to his diligence and expertise. He also had a 6th sense for knowing when we were trying to take a picture of something and would slow down and pull over for us before we even had to ask.In terms of booking, Kim was great to work with, and all of the resorts he booked for us were phenomenal. Delicious food, attentive staff, excellent washrooms and clean and comfortable facilities. Reteti also helped us find a hotel for our first night and picked us up from the airport.Highlights:• Seeing two cheetahs take down an antelope!• Watching the monkeys play at the Sawela lodge• All the animal facts and names from our guide• The pride of lions that crossed the road directly in front of us — Bernard anticipated the direction they were headed and took us down a different path, circumventing the line of 15+ vehicles to give us amazing front-row seats!We 100% recommend Reteti safaris for a great safari experience!

He explained everything very well, answered all of our questions and spotted animals where I saw not abel to see anything. In addition to his expertise he also was a really heartwarming and fun guy.Besides all that we saw yso many amazing animal and that was one of the best days ever.With no hesitation I would do a Safari with them again.
